See the Dusting Through the Lines

January 11, 2018

We needed it; but I heard complaints. The weather is the master; naturally. I wasn’t ready. But I greet it; with open arms. Looking for the beauty between the lines.

My family love games. We also love animals. The following posts will be images from a game in the car. First, everyone thinks of an animal, then we combine them in a drawing.

Back to Joe’s

July 9, 2016

I recently was given an opportunity to be rehired at Trader Joe’s, Redlands. Thanks Brina! I have the pleasure of getting an early start on the day by doing signs and other projects with the store 99 team. Here are a few chalk pen signs. Enjoy.

Yucaipa California Love.

September 13, 2015

My family and I purchased a home in Yucaipa about 2 years ago. Not only have we been blessed with a creative, family orientated (or, oriented) community atmosphere. We also scored hard with some of the friendliest neighbors anyone could ask for. This post goes out to our neighbors; and all neighbors, everywhere.

The other day my neighbor asked me if we liked sweet potatoes. Yes! I replied. Take as many as you’d like he said, they’re just on the other side of the fence.

Ma, Rare Earth

May 10, 2015

To all the mothers! If you haven’t heard of the band, Rare Earth, please check them out. I can’t describe how awesome they are. My wife and I have a second hand store we frequent for records. This one day we didn’t see anything we recognized so we each bought a record solely on the cover art. My wife chose a green and black cover of stylized face with glasses on and I chose an album of a black line drawing of a naked fat woman riding a small rocking horse. After we had purchased them and were sitting in our car we discovered they were the same band! Rare Earth.

This album is dedicated to Ma. This post is dedicated to Ma, and this day is dedicated to Ma. Mom, I love you!

Animals on parade

May 5, 2015

Fatherhood has inspired me in so many ways. Lately, I have been getting my boys (2 and 4,) involved with my drawing. I ask them what to draw and they make up something, usually it involves some type of animal doing something silly or unusual. Kids sure do have a great imagination, and it’s always fun to see it in action.

These 2 paintings are from the mind of my eldest. They were first drawn on blank greeting cards in the car while waiting for mom to finish our errands. Both are acrylic on canvas. Both are for sale.
